Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced a "new war goal" to return residents of northern Israel to their homes.

The statement said Israel's Security Affairs Ministry extended its war objective to allow residents of northern Israel to return safely to their homes.
Israel's new war targets were set at an overnight meeting of the prime minister's security cabinet. In this war, three conditions of the previous wars have also been added. For example, destroying the military power and governance of Hamas; Freeing all hostages and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel. The terms were revealed by Netanyahu's office last June when he declared war.
Earlier, Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7. A day later, the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah started a war against Israel in solidarity with the Gazans of Palestine. Increasing cross-border attacks over the past few months have led to the evacuation of many communities in northern Israel.
Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Galant spoke with US Ambassador Amos Hochstein on Monday. He said military action was the only way to bring back residents evacuated from northern Israel.
A statement from Gallant's office said there was a possibility of a cease-fire agreement. But it's coming to an end. Because, Hezbollah has "tied itself" with Hamas. They are refusing to end the conflict.
